During the forum you will be able to present the issue(s) you feel are most important to the members of your organization. On the other hand, you may also present an issue that focuses on and figures heavily into the success or failure of the African-American community. The "Issues Forum" is being done in order to gain special insight into the issues you feel are most important to you. Your issue can be presented using the attached "Issue Presentation Form". Each issue presented will be considered for specific action or disposition by the "Alliance". The process under which the issues presented will be considered and acted upon is shown in the attached pages. The types of issues that may receive the attention of the "Alliance" are issues like the "Disparity Study" or "Local Bond Issues" or the issue of the "Police Handling of The Recent Murders". We have determined that many issues of this type are best handled through a consortium approach rather than a single organization or even two or three organizations attempting to reconcile the issue themselves. Currently, there are several organizations in the "Alliance of Organizations", including several member churches from the Ministerial Alliance. Your issues and participation are important! Please come to the next meeting....and remember, participation and presentation of your issue is more important than anything else.
