14. ARTICLE IV, Section 1. Officers The officers of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Co. Branch shall be: a President, three Vice Presidents, a Secretary, an Assistant Secretary, a Treasurer, an Assistant Treasurer, Parliamentarian and Chaplain, none of whom may serve in the same office for more than three consecutive terms. 15. ARTICLE IV, Section 2. Employment of Staff An Executive Director, and other support staff may be employed by the Branch where the Branch budget provides for such employment, upon terms and conditions approved by the National President/CEO. Such staff shall be selected by the Executive Committee of the Branch. No employee of the Branch may serve on the Executive Committee. 16. ARTICLE IV, Section 3. Duties (a) President. The President shall preside a meetings of the General Membership and the Executive Committee and to serve as chairman of the Executive Committee and exercise such other powers as granted by Constitution & By-Laws for Branches under its various articles. (b) Vice Presidents. The duties of the Vice Presidents shall be to perform all the duties of the President in his/her absence or disability. In case of more than one Vice President, the Vice Presidents shall be designated first, second, third, and shall perform their duties according to their numerical rank, based upon the number of votes they received in the Branch election. The one with the highest vote being designated "first", the next "second" and the next "third". (c) Secretary. To exercise such powers as granted by the Constitution and By- Laws for Branches under Article III. (d) Assistant Secretary. To perform all the duties of the Secretary as spelled out in the Constitution and By-Laws for Branches, Article III in the absence or disability of the Secretary. At other times to assist the Secretary as the Secretary directs. (e) Treasurer. To exercise such powers as granted by the Constitution and By- Laws for Branches under Article III. (f) Assistant Treasurer. To perform all the duties of the Treasurer as spelled out in the Constitution and By-Laws for Branches, Article III in the absence or disability of the Treasurer. At other times to assist the Treasurer as the Treasurer directs. (g) Parliamentarian To render parliamentary advice to the presiding officer at meetings of the Executive Committee and the General Membership, when called upon. (h) Chaplain To chair the Religious Affairs Committee of the Branch and be responsible for a brief devotional at the start of each General Membership Meeting of the Branch. 18. ARTICLE IV, Section 4. Executive Director To perform all the duties spelled out in Article III, Section 6 of the Constitution and By-Laws for Branches. 19. ARTICLE V, Section 1.
