We hope this will be an outstanding year for NAACP members and for Branches, Youth Councils, College Chapters and State Conferences. ANNUAL MEETING The Annual Meeting of the Membership will be held in New York City, Saturday, February 15, 1997, at the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, at 3 World Trade Center, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Association has reserved a block of rooms for NAACP members. The rate is: $146.00 (single/double), and 13% tax and $2.00 occupancy tax per room. Should you want to reserve a room, please contact the office of Event Planning at the National Office, Telephone: (410) 486-9160, 1965, or 9159. YEAR-END FINANCIAL REPORTS DUE - FEBRUARY 1,1997 Just a note to remind you that the Year-End Financial Reports are due by February 1, 1997. If you have any problems completing the form, please contact Brian J. Abadom, Senior Tax Accountant, Accounting Department, at (410) 486-9173. Branches, Youth Councils, and College Chapters failing to file Year End Financial Reports with the National Office for the 1996 year by February 1, 1997, will be ineligible to participate in the Spring Regional Leadership Training Conferences or Fall State Conventions, and in addition, ineligible to have voting delegates at the 1997 Annual National Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in July. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
