Description	This is a letter from a young girl to an unnamed aunt. In reasonably accurate transcription, it reads, "My dear Aunty, I know you think hard of me not writing to you but you know how hard it is for me to write. I know I ought to write but I feel at a loss to know what to write about but Mama says I must write today if it is only to let you know how we all are. We have a singular desease [sic]. It is a sore tongue. I throught [sic] Aunt Mary & Mama had it first. They are better now but all of us children & the negrows [sic] are taking it. It is quite paneful [sic] & we can hardly eat or talk. Aunt Mary had a letter from you the other day. Her health has improed [sic] very much since she came here. Uncle Wash talks about moving here. Mama['s] health is not good. She says she has been wanting to write to you for a long time but has not been able. My Dear Aunty, I do want to see you very much & hope I will sometime this summer. Give my love to Aunt Eliza, Cousin Sam & all the rest. Tell the negrows hardy [sic]. Write soon to your neice [sic]. Lillie Spratt."
