Description
Empheral postcard for November 1909 with a calendar , picture and advice regarding one's financial future . “The Key to wealth” was issued by Commercial National Bank in Charlotte , NC [Copyright 1908 ?, Wesley Adv . Co. , Chicago ; color ; undivided back ; fine] The bank was chartered in Charlotte , NC in 1874 and was headquartered at 200 South Tryon Street . Even though many banks could not reopen in 1933 after the depression-era Bank Holiday , CNB stayed a viable part of the banking industry . In 1948 , the bank became the first in the state to open a drive-in-branch . In 1957 , CNB merged with American Trust and three years laters , it became North Carolina National Bank . NCNB later became Bank of America .
